Not my usual thing, but I rather liked this simplistic image of Black Swans flying south near home, Swans are too small in the frame for the Avian section I think....hope you like it

Nice image Phil, the over all feel of the image is nice, i like the framing too.

If mine i may be tempted to tone down the sun a bit, to give it a more calming effect .
    Its fantastic as presented too.

Phil, thanks for sharing. I love the simplicity of the image, the framing and the title.

Very nice image and I love that the sun has a smooth gradient of light without digital artifacts. It almost burns my eyes, which is a compliment.

Nicely done, Phil. When I can 'feel' a picture, as I can with this one, I know it's good.

I tend to agree with the comment on the sun. To my eye, it almost seems to be too bright vis-a-vis its position so low to, or just below, the horizon.

That said, the image is indeed a memorable one.

I really like this image, especially as it implies that leaving - usually a sad thing - can be warm and kind. Something or someone is leaving, but much happiness remains even so. Perhaps something has been satisfactorily finished or achieved. Good job.

Beautiful image Phil. I actually like the glare of the sun. When I look at the image and the title "A Time for Leaving", I see change that brings a new day. And so the way I see it in my mind, the sun is rising up and should bare a strong visual impact. I love it.

I think I can see a Swan's eye, if you look really hard….. might just make minimum 'Avian section' requirements
