Default Sandhill Crane in flight - Bosque

Shot in November at Bosque at about 10:40 am. Cropped for composition. PP in LR 4.3. Selective sharpening and NR. Shadows under wings boosted a little. The sun was on the right over my shoulder. Now that I look at it posted here it looks a little noisy under the wings. Will work on that.

    Canon 7D, ISO 400
    500 mm f/4L IS
    1/1600 sec. @ f/10

    C/C appreciated.

I like the wing span, the pose and the dangling feet, good HA. I see a blue cast on the crane and the sky could also be brightened and desaturated a bit. under-wings do show noise as a result of boosting.

TFS keep up the good work!

Nicely composed in the frame Dennis, such a graceful capture. Liking the clear eye and HA towards the camera.

A tiny bit of grainness underwing, but not bad, but a slight color cast to the image overall as mentioned

Great pose Dennis and nice light on the body. I see the cast as well

Thanks Arash and Phil. I am thinking I over-processed this one. Here's a repost with a little LESS processing, and warmed up slightly.

I think I might see where I went wrong even in the first repost above. The leading edge of both wings (in the shadow area) has a blue cast. In addition to the changes above, I corrected that issue as well. This repost should look better.
