Default From my bedroom window- female evening grosbeak

We have a beautiful big beech tree in our backyard that is about 15 feet from the window.
I have lots of shots of birds from this tree. Evening grosbeaks are the most skittish of birds -if something spooks them, they leave and don't come back for a day or two.
This one is 95% FF. The bird may be a bit centered for some. I could easily add canvas to the left if that was the general consensus.

PP NR to BG, levels, DE to bird and reverse tonal contrast to BG to minimize branches in the BG.
Comments and critiques always learned from and appreciated with thanks,
    Gail

Composition is pretty goo IMO. Nice pose, details and complimenting background. I might try to make the back of the head a little brighter. Great overall image, Gail.

    Lovely!

What would you think about taking a little off the right side to get the bird out of the center, or even going vertical? With a static portrait, I rarely see the need to leave room for it move into.

Sooooo...you're telling us your house is one big comfortable "Bird Hide"....very coooool !

A sweet subject and image looks pretty good as is, nice head angle and sharpness

I do feel a little more even light on the bird particularly on the head maybe a little better, and yes I feel a little more room on the left to improve composition, I'd also suggest just to be nit picky....smooth out that one darker smudge line top left

Lovely bedroom window shot. Great pose, nice work on the BG. I often like some off-angle lighting, but in this case I do think a little less "off" might have helped (tough to move the bedroom, though.) Maybe brighten the back of the head. I like the OP but might move the bird just slightly to the right in the frame.

Nice perch pose and detail. Can't decide which post I like better. I also think more light on eye area and head would be an improvement.

Nice shot Gail. I like the OP better comp wise and I agree about lightening up the head a bit. Looks like it might have been later in the morning. Nice perch with some color to it and a very nice complementary BG. Well done.
