I was much to the left. I kept moving to the right to clear a branch in front of him, but then the HA got worse.
I'm still happy with this shot as I haven't seen one since last fall.
    Natural perch.
I was shooting with my walkabout gear.
    Thanks for looking.

I love these little birds and have yet to get a photo of them.
Good IQ and I like the way the claw is holding the green branch against the brown perch.
Good DOF and detail. Lovely color in the BG.
Agree a bit more of a head turn would have been nice. I would be OK with a slightly looser crop,
    Gail

Beautiful, and great detail. I'm conflicted about the bud in the UL.

Hi Karl. Nice harmony in the colors...bird/background/perch.
I'll jump on Gail's bandwagon, since I agree with everything she said.

What a sweet little powder puff of a bird ! Looks similar to our White-browed Scrub-wren...but nicer colored. Lovely detail and smooth backdrop. I do rather like the little claws around the green twig, but would prefer not to see both twigs...but hey..what can ya do sometimes.

Nice job getting a shot of this little guy. I can never get them in the open long enough to get a descent shot. Techs look good as dose the clarity. I like the green sprig grasped by the toe and the great BG. Well done

Love these little birds. The details are fantastic. Agree that we would like to see more eye—but I like it nevertheless.
