Based on recommendations here on BPN, I made a quick visit to Gatorland while in Orlando. I only had a couple of hours available but had a great time and was very impressed with the opportunities for bird photography. This particular shot came as I was shooting with at nests across from me, morning sun at my back. I turned around and this Egret had landed with the fish in his mouth. I had the 400mm f5.6 lens on and was too close for it but took the opportunity at hand. So the sun was behind the Egret, leaving him in a shadow and outlined. Folks around here seem to like it, any thoughts are appreciated.

Glad to see you made it to Gatorland and not surprised you found so many opportunities. Glad to see you were able to capture this behavior. Too bad you couldn't have changed positions to avoid the blotchy BG but as we all know, it can be difficult to avoid these backgrounds at times.
