    A Black Swan on the Queanbeyan River in morning light against a deeply shaded far bank.


    Canon 50D, 400f/5.6L, 1/500s, f/5.6, ISO 400, Av mode, EC -1.7, Mongoose 3.6 mounted on a skimmer
    image rotated 0.9 deg, followed by a small crop, three small OOF white bits on water surface masked out, 40% linear burn applied to whites

    Nice low angle, and the water dripping is neat. The red bill adds a bit of colour, which is pretty cool. I actually think the subject could go a bit darker...or at least the midtones...could make for a more dramatic result.

    Agree with Daniels assesment....but a very easy tweak to a very nice image!

    Like this one a lot; very dramatic. The repost is a big improvement IMO. Can you tone down the whites a little?

    the repost is very dramatic! excellent black on black exposure, details and I like the water drops. Would be nice to recover some detail from the whites

    I like the re post, and I'm impressed how well the black on black stands out in this. I'm going to be different and say I like the extra bright patch of white and it's refection as is, like a beacon.

    Love the light here. Great image but I can't decide which one I like best i think somewhere in between the two. Actually after more review that repost is really growing on me :)
