    Default Take off

I think this is a brown headed gull, just can't make out what it is in the non breeding season.

These guys like to fish in gangs, we watched a shoal of small fingerlings which was fished by these.
However its difficult to make make few decent images with a good splash and fish together.
In here i have cloned out one wing of a gull which was flying by and came in the frame, thats the most difficult thing during this, that you tend to get too much of confusion when these get into a feeding frenzy and getting a single bird in the act becomes difficult.

Let me know if you have your suggestions on getting it better.

Beautiful wing position, and you caught the splash nicely. The comp works very well for me. I only wish for a bit of head turn in your direction. At first impression I thought there was a bluish cast to this, but checking with ColorPic, the neutral areas are, if anything, slightly toward the red channel, so I wouldn't change it.

Hey Vishal, you captured nice action here...Bill has already pointed out about HA. And yes it is Juvenile Brown headed gull - note the yellow bill and legs whereas the adult has red.

Excellent take off shot, Vishal. I like the pose, shooting angle and the water trail.

Sharp as can be, nice exposure and a cool pose.
Maybe just a bit of rotation needed looking at the water.

I'd agree with a slight CW rotation -- and a possible gotcha: are the reflections in the LL from the cloned-out bird? (Just a thought...)

I have the feeling that there was a bit more Highlights compensation than need be, but it could be that was just the lighting. I still love the image! Wish I could capture action like that, so my comments don't carry much weight.

Nice wing position and nice capture. The detail in the bird looks great. I like the splash of water.
