Hi David, like the crop and position within frame. Personally I would go for less FG and more blue sky above. Adding a Channels layer adjustment with a blend mode gives a nice depth to the image and brings up the colour nicely. Not sure about the colouration within the snow, although snow is never pristine white, however pulling back the Cyan/Blue channel helps and gives a nice balance IMHO. Good clarity & sharpness overall and I like the cheeky expression. Was this in the Cairngorms, not with young Neil by chance?

Please note max height is 800px.

    cheers
    Steve

    Hi David,

what a great chap. I agree with Steve and have tried out your image with the Channels layer adjustments, works great

Snow - white, if pristine is another thing. Why does everybody tells me Switzerland is so clean ?
Swissyland is covert with mountains. On top snow and that is white. White > clean

But Steve is right with the snow, have checked it outside, lol. We still have the snow powder in front of our front door

Have a great evening and Easter Holidays

    Ciao
    Anette

David, a great subject - wonderful ear tufts. Square crop works well here with the OOF tail balancing the composition in structure and color. Well done.

I like this a lot David - very intimate view of this small and lovely creature.
Steve's advice is gold as always.
