Default Nik Software Bundle for free for previous users

I don't know if you have seen this, but Google is giving away the entire bundle of Nik Software
at no charge for any registered owner of any of the Nik software products.

I think you can buy the whole bundle for $149 if you have never used it.

I wanted to bring this to your attention as a couple of people on another website
had the email from Google go into their spam filter. Also according to Google they
plan on keeping and improving the Nik software line in the future.

Just one other thing, a couple of folks have noted that the windows version did not
have an extension. The renaming of the file with the .exe extension appeared to fix that
    and the software installed easily.

Hi, Gary, I received an email from Google yesterday and installed the whole bundle. I already had Color Efex, Silver Efex and Viveza but was happy to take the rest

At this price I may now just splurge on this. There are a number of promo codes out there to give you an additional 15% off during checkout for a total of $126.65. Most obvious one for this forum: BAA

Nope, not in my spam folder. I have the complete collection but upgrade to v2 on Silver Efex Pro. Would be nice to get the rest of the collection to V2 status. The Nik site is not very friendly now that Google has taken them over so I can't see how to go check for version status and updates.

Hi John, try this link: http://www.niksoftware.com/index/usa..._id=northlight
The code for the additional discount is "northlight". (No quotes.) I think the offer ends April 2.

Well, I didn't get the bundle free, despite owning Nik Sharpener Pro for 10 years, but I do appreciate the opportunity to purchase it for this huge discount! Nice!

I bought it and got 15% off with "BAA" as the coupon code. There are many codes floating around that give that 15% off...

    Hi everyone.

I also clicked on Andrew's link and found that it only provided a 15% discount. I wasn't too crazy about that, so I checked my gmail and found, as others reported above, that the e-mail from Nik was in the spam folder. I marked it "Not Spam" to move it to my inbox.

The e-mail indeed invited me to download a free copy of the Nik Collection by Google. There were two download boxes in the e-mail. The box on the right was labeled "Windows Download", while the one on the left was not labeled. Being a Mac guy, I clicked on the unlabeled box and hoped for the best. And voila, I downloaded the Nik Mac package.

I dragged the 257MB package from my download file to my desktop, double clicked the install icon, and installation went smoothly into all of my Photoshop and Lightroom applications.

So thanks to everyone for alerting me to the availability of this excellent free software!

Norm, congratulations on the free download. It is my understanding that the free download was available only to those who purchased a Nik plugin in the past 5 years. First-time buyers had to pay the discounted price for the entire suite. Apparently you had purchased one or more plugins in the past 5 years & this is what entitled you to the free download of the entire Nik suite.

Such is so. Unfortunately using software for a long time is not the same as purchasing it within the last 5 years. Still, even if it must be purchased, it's a good deal considering the price and available discounts.

I just wanted to mention how great Google/NIK customer service has been. I emailed them saying I had made a purchase of the full suite and then found out about a free offer they had (if you owned one of the plugins). Sure enough, tonight I get email confirmation that my Paypal account was credited with the full amount. I did not expect this of such a large company as Google.

After waiting a few days for an email with the links I resent my original request with the original case number. I received the message with the download link this morning. I'll load them on the computer tonight.
