In my opinion the picture is not 'bad as a document but the position of the head with the body behind it severely limits or value and do not see it used outside archive (as in a contest)
    What yu say ?
    Thanks

    Giovanni,

You happened to be at the right place at the right time. A very nice and informative capture.

I will agree with your assessment, and I would venture to guess that it's too "cluttered" near the eagles face. It took me more than a second to figure out where the face was, and I think, like you mentioned, puts this image in the archives. With that said, it's a great moment captured, and it's one I'm glad you shared

Self critique is about right I think...the only real problem with the first image is simply the birds head needs to be separate from that of the rabbit so it stands out more boldly

I wonder if a little local masking could brighten both the bird's head and the rabbit's face? (Separately.) It's such a wonderful catch, I'd want to try it.

Great capture. You assessment is dead on. I wonder of darkening the Bg a bit and brighten up the bird, especially the head might improve things??
