    Default Sharpie Looking for Lunch

This Sharp-shinned Hawk perched on the frame of my back yard gazebo recently, eying the Redpolls at the nearby feeder.

OM-D EM5, Panasonic 100-300, hand-held, 1/125. f/6.3, pattern metering , ISO 2000 (rather poor natural light). Raw file processed in LR and PSE10, with selective levels, curves and nr.in varying degrees on the bird and the bg. I know a natural perch would have been nicer, but he wouldn't co-operate.

    Thanks for comments.

very nice topside view, it's a handsome raptor. main issue here is the poor IQ and the perch.

Nice over the shoulder look, overall reasonably sharp and a rather nice dorsal view of his/her plumage. Not sure what has gone askew with the image quality....it looks like a bit too much sharpen and levels adjustment

Very similar to our sparrowhawks. Nice rear view, better IQ would have been better. - it is a big crop , was the bird far away. With a bit of patience and a regular visit you could move the feeders and place a better perch for him. I think you will get some crackers if he plays ball with you.
