As you don't know the direction of the flight, you take a chance and hope.
I positioned myself to have the sun behind and hoping for the best.
This lady flew from one tree to the other, stayed there for a short while and left.
    (I removed a few branches.)
No hunting while I was there.
    Thanks for looking.

    Hi Karl,

Excellent details on the bird and good background. Good wing position and lovely light. Possibly a crop with bit off the top and a bit more on the bottom if the bg will allow it, but overall a lovely image.

Great details and amazing timing on this one, looks like you are nailing your flight of these hawks perfectly each time around.
    Agree with the suggestion above.

Nice take-off pose, light, and hint of perch. Yes, a bit more room below would be good. I'd clone out what appears to be a piece of feather hanging by a thread on the far wing.

Thanks Aras. Unfortunately there is no canvas to add at the bottom.

Thats a nice take off shot Karl. Exposure and sharpness look great. Love the detail in the wings and the nice red tail. I would be tickled to get a shot this good. Great job!

Karl, lovely image of a RTH in sweet light and good BG. I like the details of the wing and the very red tail. Nice catch light. Good pose. On my iPad, the eye looks just a bit soft, but overall a lovely image. Loi
