    I generally photograph birds and post in the avian forum, but in this shot I got a bit more "wildlife" than usual. This vole - who seems to still be alive -- is being carried off by a White-tailed Kite. I had hoped to capture the entire bird, but a wing got seriously clipped, so I cropped in tight on this unfortunate little creature.

    This is awesome! What a great and different crop, and lighting! I feel for the little furry things but I guess that's nature.

    Love the details of the vole and the feathers on the WTK. Poor vole.

    Image quality has suffered from the apparently large crop but an interesting view.

    Great frame, but I have to agree the image quality is a let-down here Steve.
    It's probably a combination of a large crop and some aggressive noise-reduction by the looks of things. NR is poison to fine detail like feathers...best to use masks to selectively apply NR and sharpening...
