Another stunning capture Glenn. I'm looking forward to your 2014 Costa Rica trip. Beautiful colors, amazing bird, and great BG as usual. Well done to capture this by natural light. I can't think of anything to improve. Very well done!

    Underexposed and slow SS.
The pose is pretty bad and the wing blur is so bad, it does not suggest motion as much as just poor photography.
    Sorry.

I don't see underexposure, but the darker tones might be brought up a little in raw processing. I don't mind the wing blur -- might have been dim light. Given the difficult choices of balancing shutter speed, DOF and exposure, I don't find this a bad compromise.

The tonalities are well handled, to me.

I really like the colors and background but to me the ss is a little slow...there's a little too much blur here. LOVE Costa Rica too, but I spend much more time surfing than shooting.

Wonderful flight shot Glenn! The blurred wings work well here. Like the composition with fading plants in the BG.

    The Bg is amazing,
I like the pose captured and it depicts all the features of the bird (crested)
Details are nice, the wings show motion making it interesting , i love the flower colour.
good image and all the best for the new Costa rica trip wishing you a wonderful time with more new species for us to view.
