It almost looks like as if someone emptied a bucket of red paint into the water.
I'll post the jpeg version of the original as a comment.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:
Excellent image of duck with cool expression.
Love the pose, nice details in whites, artistic waves in water, beautiful color scheme and composition.

Cool water Karl. I might consider moving the bird just a little to the right for more off center

Thanks Cheryl. I was thinking about it. My concern was and has been that this guy has a long tail. It is under water on the picture but it is still there as they refer to: the virtual tail, leg etc.

Hi Carl. Wow, the water really does have an unusual look! The light appears pretty bright, but you handled the whites quite well. I agree that the long tail presents a compositional challenge - I think your OP is a nice compromise in that regard.

I agree the water is very unusual. I have to say I am not crazy about it but that is a personal taste issue.
The light appears to have been quite harsh but you managed to protect the whites well.
I would like a little more room all around. I find the water colors more appealing in the larger image for some reason.

Thanks Gail. I appreciate your honesty regarding the water. My wife did not like it either.
It is unusual, out of the paradigm for a change.
Actually the colour is the reflection of a bridge nearby.
