    This young fellow was resting mid morning at Green Cay last Sunday. He was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D with a Nikon 1.4T/C.
    focal length @ 420mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / 1/400sec - f/11 / exposure comp @ +0.7EV / ISO @ 400 / white balance @ auto / AF mode @ AF-S /
    tone comp @ 0 / hue adjustment @ 0 degrees / saturation factor @ 0 / no speedlight /
    no tripod /

    that's what i'm talking about!!!!:D:D great job, gus!! the only distraction to me is that oof lighter blob right behind hes beak. fantastic photo!!

    I think this is the best portrait image you have posted (recently). Very striking. I agree with Harold that the light blub is a wee bit distracting.

    this is a nice one Gus. The color saturation seems perfect to me.
    A few hot spots and a tad sharp on some neck feathers IMO.....very pleasing bg.

    Beautiful shot Gus! I would eliminate the white stuff in the BG and back off a smidge on the sharpening. Very nice though!

    Very nice Gus, this is the one everyone raved in class last night. Excellent colors and head angle. I like the way he is staring into space .

    Awesome picture, nice details and colors.
    I seem to recognize this bird... Green Cay feels like my second home.
