Here is a Gadwall whith calling pose. I like the colouration of the water on this one.
    Thanks for looking.

The colors in the water are beautiful. Nice pose on the bird, crop works well.

Gorgeous bird Karl, and great complementary colors. Wonderful detail in the feathers. Great light and I like the open bill. Very well done!

Hi Karl, love the fuzzy plumage on the head - is this a juvi? Open beak adds with a hint of water falling off it, and yes, the colour of the water seems to complement the Gadwall nicely.

Karl, yes the water is nice. I have been too busy this year and haven't done any Gadwall photography. I guess I will have to wait until the winter.

Nice open bill. The eye and the bill are sharp but wondering why the body of the duck has come out a bit soft.

    Karl
THe water looks beautiful , i guess this is the 3rd time i am back at this image as i was not able to pinpoint what was exactly missing,
Kaustubh could get it right i suppose. The best Gadwall images are one by Kaustubh which inspired me to follow this bird all over ,

I really like the complimentary colours in the water and plumage, the duck is very well detailed and I like the hint of the foot underwater, a very pleasing image.

Nice pose, Karl and the water is very nice.
I think the body could be sharpened a tad more, but fine as is.
