Nice flight shot, Chris. I can relate to what you describe as I shoot HH with my rig many times. (500+1.4/1D M4)

Nice capture. Looks sharp and well exposed. Always fun and challenging to hand hold those big rigs.

Good wing position, Chris, and great colors and sharpness. Well done HH too.

Hi Chris, well exposed, sharp, and although flying away, he has turned his almost parallel to you, so this works for me. Love their eyes and bright beaks.

I liked the composition, head turn and the exposure. Very nice wing position as well. Not sure how it will hold up, but a bit tighter crop will have more impact IMO.

Chris I take my hat off to you, this wasn't easy I am not surprised your arm was aching! I think you caught it nicely and the I really like all the colours in the image.
In view of the accurate focusing it may be worth trying a little bit more selective sharpening it may bring out a bit more detail in the plumage.

I would also go a bit tighter with this, but a nice sharp BIF photo!

Great detail in the darks! (Not always easy to bring out.) And I love the wing position.

Hi Christopher. I hope your arm has recovered! I like the light and your exposure is spot on with good detail in both backs and whites. Also a good flight pose with the focus sharp on the eye. If this isn't already a heavy crop, I might try a little tighter comp. This is very nicely done!
