Figured I would give you guys a break from the Hawk Owl. :) I was out one sunny day a few weeks ago and captured this lovely lady Mallard in some nice light. You have to love snow as it acts like a natural reflector and lights the underside of birds quite nicely.
A very nice composition. The exposure is excellent, the image is nice and sharp, the background nice and diffused. And a full frame to boot. I would have like a little bit more room on the right but again that is my preference. Congratulations on excellent creation and thank you very much for sharing.
Another winner Jody . Beautiful flight image and the BG is a killer too. As mentioned the snow on the beak is an added bonus in this capture. Love iit !!
Lovely and perfect. Were you holding up a kernel of corn?
later and love, artie

An excellent mallard flight shot. They are near and dear to my heart.....my favorite past time shooting in the winter when I get a chance. Gorgeous colors and detail.....and I love that touch of snow on the bill. Well done.
