    Canon 500/4L

    1/640 sec f/4 ISO 800 . Tv + 2/3. Full frame.

    This BCNH took me by surprise as I was walking in towards the ponds, so it was handheld.

    I really like the comp, and the side-lighting makes an interesting effect. I don't know if you lightened up the shadows, but there seems to be some noise showing on my monitor.

    Interesting portrait of this BCNH, and I like it. There is however a lot of noise which needs to be removed, esp in the BG but also in the bird. That red eye truly stands out!

    I really like the low light you got here and the way the eye seems to glow. Focus and sharpness look good but I agree there is excessive noise to get rid of in post.
