Took this a few months ago at a local beach refuge. This was a great day of BIF photography as the ducks were flying more than normal and I captured good shots of all three North American Teal. Cinnamon, Blue winged and this Drake Green winged Teal.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. Appreciated

Sorry, typed in the wrong duck on the title. This is a Drake Green Winged Teal. Maybe a Moderator can change it for me. Thanks in advance.

Lovely one , the details are fantastic, the water enhances the image
These are very close to the common teals and i know what the challenge is there in getting that eye, you have nailed it amazingly well

    David:
Excellent flight pose with nice wing position, colors, details, lights and sharpness.
Love the way bird pops up against blues.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Terrific flight capture. Tough to catch them. You got his signature colors beautifully, and the water adds to the image. Wish you had him one or two frames earlier before he started to get past you, but still a shot I would love to have.

    Hi David,
Good HH skills to get this little guy.
I think you did well to get him so sharp and I don't mind that he is a frame or two past you otherwise we wouldn't see the iridescent green on the wing.
I find the brown streaks in the water distracting and would tone them down a bit- maybe by doing a reverse tonal contrast on the midtones in Color Efex.
    Excellent shot,
    Gail

Thanks everyone for the comments, appreciated.
Thanks also Gail for the tip on the reverse tonal contrast. I will try it.
I do have the frame or 2 before this 1 but as Gail mentioned there wasn't any green on the wing showing so I opted for this 1
    Thanks again

Hi David, good flying pose showing off the colour on the near wing, and I also like the the colours on the head too. I feel you have the sharpness spot on, and Im fine with the water as is.
