Love the pattern on the back, eye contact and the food item in the beak. The water also looks very nice, Grace.

    Really nice Grace.
I like the crop and the crab.
The blue of the water is really nice as well.
The trailing foot is a nice little surprise for the eye as I scan down the loons' body.

    Grace:

AS I sit here in Michigan, with 5" of fresh snow on the ground, hoping spring will eventually get here, it is encouraging to see a loon shot to keep me going until I get back amongst them.

Good shooting angle, well exposed, nice sense of action, colorful water.

Thanks for the visual encouragement, spring will come eventually!

    Cheers

Cool action Grace with nice sharp detail. I like that he turned his head for you I would love to see this full frame as a tight intimate shot as well showing the crab in more detail.

Super job on capturing this action/behavior, Grace. Love the prey, the splash and the water.
