Shot this a few weeks ago after we had some heavy snow. The tree was being bent over by the heavy snow. It was shot with a 15mm fisheye then I added the Orton effect in PS.

Nick, this is a nice combination of composition, fisheye effect and the Orton is an added plus (I'm a sucker for Ortons)![]()

Great composition and color. And it was nicely exposed for the snow. The lines of the tree trunk and branches in combination with the fisheye distortion produce some nice lines and curves.
Good use of the fisheye. I like the curves of the trunk, followed by those of the branches. The snow provides a neutral background for the design, with the green adding interest. I really like the simplification, which I assume was caused by the Orton effect. I would eliminate the clump of dark green in lower right part of image as I find it interrupts the otherwise pastel look. Lovely and creative work.
Hi Nick, I like the green and brown colors against the snow and the strong composition of this one. I can sense the energy of the tree trying to right itself. I like the Orton effect also, gives a delicate feel to the image. Good eye!
