    This was taken at the Nagarhole Wildlife sanctuary Feb 2013. These are amazing large squirrels that are unique to the nilgiri hills. The subject was back-lit and I had to increase exp in PP but was surprised at the detail I got thanks to the sharpness of the 500 II. Taken handheld from a Jeep.

    I love the tree he's hangin on to and I think you did well with the PP. I see a slight magenta cast on the squirrel but I may also be seeing the warm light cast?.

    What a cool species in a nice-looking tree. Looks sharp though I might sharpen the face some more...and there might also be merit in recovering more dark fur detail on the body...
    won't comment on colour due to the screen I'm viewing on...

    Hi Sanjeev,

    great little chap, never have seen such an animal. Looks funny and sneaky

    I agree with Cheryl with the magenta, but I have not even a clue how that chap looks in nature! I like the image and how you handled the BG
