    Lovely composition here,
There may be a small suggestion to tone down the glare on the rock and the water, may help to get the bird more stand out, just a personal preference

Very nice shot Philip - we have to get them quick before the leaf cover comes don't we You have a clean image and a beautiful exposure on the dipper, I like the composition but have a slight reservation over the central top line of water on the left, I am not exactly sure what I would do but maybe clone it with someof the OOF mossy stones from the background. I don't like to mess around too much I prefer the image as natural as possible but on reflection possibly consider cloning the dark and the pale area central left.

I am really digging the habitat you've depicted here. The wet rocky perch is neat too, although I'd be tempted to slightly darken it. I agree the white line at left should go, it would really help strenghten the image. The running water at bottom is what makes the image for me...very cool.

Hi thank you all for the tips I have had a go at them and hear is the image, I don't do a lot in photo shop to my images just a bit of usm and a crop, I like to try and get it right in camera ( with a bit of luck ) so I don't have to use PS as much.

Yes, in-camera is always best but post-processing is often essential to push certain images up to the next level. Your repost work is excellent, the toning down of the rock is done tastefully and the white streak at left is seamlessly removed. Well done!
