During our annual three week trip back to Canada, I managed to hook up again with Jamie Douglas, a good buddy and his wife Janice with little Ewan. Hard to think a year ago when we met, this little star had not arrived on this planet, how he has grown in such a short space of time!

So, whilst we were playing catch up in one of Whistler's best known 'watering holes' Ewan was getting to grips with his first pint. Sadly he hasn't quite yet mastered the difference between a picture of a pint on a coaster and the actual pint itself based on this picture. Jamie, you have a bit more to teach your son in the next 18 years I think, however even at this age he can pull the girls.

I know it's Canada, but that still looks like a lot of beer for a baby.
Kidding of course, I'm sure it's just the right amount.

    I couldn't resist.

Ewan won't have to worry about blues eyes for the rest of his life.

    Looks like a great time.

What a super picture, Steve. Thanks for sharing. Hope you guys had a heck of a time. I noticed that Jamie has been ice fishing lately. I wonder whether you might have joined in any of that fun. It sure looked cold!

James, with those eyes he is certainly capturing the ladies hearts, no question!

Rachel, he seems to spot them in books and I am sure Jamie has a time in mind to introduce him to some of the locals that leave near by.

Marina, sadly that was a few weeks prior to flying out, but we did try to get some snowy's and other wildlife during our catch up, he's a great host.

    Thanks folk.

Steve, I hate to critizice your image but it seems to me that critical focus was on the sweet blue-eyed toddler rather than on the way appealing cold beer mug...just thought I'd let you know for next time... J/K!!

Way cute man, hope you all had fun!!

I need a straw. Good times and cheers for taking this Steve. It's so rare that I am in any of the photos with him.

Ewan's empty jug was just out of view James and he was getting hungry and starting to eye up the ladies.

Steve was using him as bait to bring girls over to the table. Joke.

Pretty good so far. I have to be careful how I say this but he saw his first black bear at only three weeks old when I took him out for a stroll. From a safe distance I may add. This is not my Micheal Jackson hanging his kids over the balcony moment. I am responsible... honest. Photo proves it. I was holding Ewan back from the pint but failing to notice he was eating the beer mat.
    Until next year

P.S I need to go change my avatar image or folks will think I live in my red plaid shirt.

Thanks Daniel, I've been aware for some time about this, it's rear focusing it seems, so I need to get Canon to re calibrate.

Jamie, he's a real credit to you & Janice, seems we may need to start a Creche Forum in the coming years for the new photographers emerging.
