    I was happy to finally get some decent images of this species yesterday.

    Focal length: 500mm + 1.4x

    Hi Glen,
    You know I like the crop.......very nice BG......but for my preference would have preferred a bit more speed to freeze the wings a little more.........but that's my preference......as is, well done,

    Glenn! I like this alot! Interesting thing, I visited the California coast this past weekend and observed a few Brants and they are all had much more white areas in their plumage? Different subspecies maybe? I agree that a little more speed would have improved the wings. I, and others on this forum seem to be using higher ISO's, which transulates to higher shutter speeds. Noise can creep in with this approach, but can be handled in PP. Great shot!
