I attended my very first 'hoedown' today. Although I live in Florida, I'm from NY. What can I say? It was interesting, exciting perhaps. And fun. And really funny.

    Here's the band.

Hi Maureen - nice conversion and tone to it. As a NYer, I think I can relate to your feelings on this one. I do wish the mike wasn't blocking the face of the middle band member.

Maureen, great image to convert to sepia. I bet you had a blast

I like the toning, but I think it's the interaction among the bandmembers that really makes this image. The first time through, I didn't realize that the pail on the right was for tips. Too bad there wasn't just enough more showing to reveal the S.

    Thanks for the comments.

The microphone was pretty unavoidable since no matter what angle I used, there was one blocking at least one band member. Dennis, you're right of course. Cutting off the "S" was awful.

    Cheryl - I did have a blast

You captured the fun the band is having! The brown tones work well with this theme. You did a great job in getting all the faces in and not hidden or turned away. That one microphone is not a problem since the main part of her face is visible. Wish for a bit more room on right and top--would like to see all of "tips" sign and the peak of the roof. Looks like a fun time was had by all.

Maureen, this looks like a great time and I love the sepia tone. It's perfect for the "tone" of the image. Of course you had to start with a perfectly exposed image, good job! I'm from Indiana, and this looks like any Friday night at the local watering hole!

Yes, the sepia and interaction work so well here. I too wish there were more on the right, but hey....great image!!!!!!! A fun time for you and obviously for them!
