    Default White Faced Ibis

    Canon 1Div, 800mm+TC1.4 III, Iso-640, 1/1000, f8, manual, no flash
reflections of sky and marsh in background.
I like the position but not really keen about the brown reflections. Any thoughts on this?
Nik IV DE and TC applied to bird only, Imagenomic Noise reduction to background only.

    Don:

Amazing iridescence. Almost looks unnatural, perhaps a bit too much detail extractor? I have not see the bird in person however, so will defer to your sense here.

The browns do pick up the birds color, but in general don't like them as much as the blue.

Which of the two images do you want to retain? I can probably remove the other one.

    Cheers

The bird looks great to me. I do like him in the blue water and the iridescence is on the bright side but I think it is in normal range with good light. Was this taken this year?

bird is within expectations. Nik DE was at 8(eight)% and TC at 20% for midtones and 8% for dark areas. These birds have plumage in the wings that are almost bizare. Its iridescent, and depends upon the directionality of the light.
    Please retain second one
I could try to desaturate the brown a bit....which would turn in more gray than brown.

Hi Don, Here I would sacrifice the virtual feet and opt to lose the body reflection.....

Another great shot displaying the beautiful iridescent sheen of these birds. Love the raised foot pose too. Techs look great as dose the detail in this one. Well done

Thanks Artie. No surprise that my personal copy does this, but I posted the one with virtual feed, as the responses on BPN focus on non-conformity (and cutting off the feet, unless you say so, just brings out the comments about virtual feet.
