    Default A Chaffinch

    Canon 600mm
    MK IV
    iso 320
    f/10
    1/320

Taken up in Scotland when photographing red squirrels, this chap landed on the log and I liked the composition, amazed to get away with 1/320 with the 600mm but it is pin sharp when blown up.

Nice looking bird well exposed. The perch looks nice but maybe too much shown and it competes with the bird.

Lovely image, David, takin in awesome light. Super looking bird, perch and BG. A smaller perch would better showcase the bird, but it also works to have a perch such as this large in the frame esp one with so much detail, color and texture.

Sweet side on pose and color look nice, I myself feel the perch is interesting but a bit dominant and I'd suggest crop off the bottom quite a bit and have more space to the left in the direction of the birds sight. I think maybe it could do with a bit more sharpening as it does look somewhat soft in particular the eye region
