    Default The White fairy

This is a Male of the Asian Paradise Flycatcher, the individual here is the smallest of the 3 we have in the area.
In our area the males turn to this color when full grown , some areas like Srilanka have males in rufous colour.

Hi Vishal, a vertical comp was the the only way to go, and a great view we have of the tail. I really like the pose with the head following the line of the perch. Sharp where it counts, and against a lovely smooth BG.

    Beautiful bird, well captured.
Next time I would suggest making a second image with the tail in focus (presuming it stays relatively still) and focus stacking. Its otherwise difficult to get the length of this bird into the DOF of the lens.
Well done exposure for whites and blacks.
I like this one and the pose!

What a beautiful bird, pose, and background. I would like to see the tail in focus, but still a stunning portrait.

Beautiful bird, pose, HA, exposure and BG . Too bad the tail fell out of the DOF. Try Dons suggestion if you get a next time and he sits long enough. Still a very nice shot though.

Sensational image in terms of both quality and subject matter, the light on the head is extra good as is the over the shoulder stare....vertical comp is nicely done and not sure there is any other way with such a long elegant looking bird....enviable for sure

Fabulous bird, logical composition. Excellent BG too. A wee bit better HA towards us would have put this over the top, but I still like it like this too.
