You cant beat the early morning light in the Pilanesberg National Park. This red-eyed Dove was perched pretty close to the hide, and I managed quite a few different poses.

Stu, this is one of the best dove images I have seen. The perch, the BG, the HA and eye, sharpness and IQ are terrific! Great light as well. TFS.

Beautiful photo, Stuart. I especially like the hunched-over pose of the bird. A target background as well.

Hey Stu, stunning light, pose, IQ and bg. A lovely dove for sure.
I would give him just a bit more room above, but fine as is. Love that red eye.

Lovely one Stuart, all the parts of the image are fantastic, subject, perch, BG and lovely IQ
i can see a vertical composition on this one with some room increased on top , since its a vertical perch and the bird raises the height above that.
    wonderful image over all

Yaw, the light quality is killer.
Great image, simple, yet so well done, from point of capture through PP, this has quality
all over it. Love that eye!...and the vulture like haunch of the dove is cool too.

Love that eye Stuart and lovely golden tones throughout, a backdrop to die for........sooooo very sharp as well. A hard one to compose in a frame perfectly but I think you've made the right choice, but could equally see it in a vertical and/or a bit more room on the top
