These birds don't give much warning when going from preening to flight....

I see a ting of Blue on the left wing between the blacks, the details are fantastic ,its very difficult to get details on these guys

Nice flight pose and beautiful colours. Hint of marshy habitat looks good too - I'd perhaps smooth out the edges of a couple of the harder edged grasses though (the one touching the near wingtip, and the diagonal one at upper right corner). I'd also try to tame some or most of the specular highlights on the leg. Sharp, good details.

Hi Don, great flight pose with the raised wings, and I really like the different curves from the bill right back to the feet. We have a view of both the underwing and top of the wing. Iridescence stands out well, sharp, and if anything, I would have darkned the BG a touch.
