    Default Clay colored thrush

Yet another setup. It was extremely windy and my thinner perches were falling all over the place.
I adapted and went with a sturdier perch.
From what I have heard, this species is quite uncommon in south Texas. I was lucky to have it come down to my setup.

    All comment appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Another fine set up, Sidharth.
I like this but also think a crop off the bottom above the lower green foliage would highlight the bird a bit more.

Fine shot and I agree with the cropping suggestion. This is quite a common bird in Costa Rica and it frequently scares smaller, more colorful, birds off of fruit feeders and has acquired a less than desirable reputation among photographers as a result. It is, however, a very handsome bird in its own right and your elegant perch shows it off to great advantage.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Dan, I agree, moving the bird down in the frame by a bit might look better. I'll give it a try.

Sidharth, nice job. The bird stands out well in the bg.
As suggested by Bill and Dan, cropping would enhance the image.

Excellent composition and pose. I agree with the idea of cropping it a bit closer.

Beautiful shot and a great setup. Techs are your usual high quality and the birds pose is nice. I saw this earlier on my Ipad and thought the same thing as the others. A bit off the bottom to highlight the bird better. Nice work.

Gorgeous. This is a "high five" species for it's North American scarcity, and the image is murphyesque good!
Can a higher compliment be made? I think not.

What a cracker - outstanding, love the pose the composition. The bird is central but I think it looks fine just there.

A really neat looking set up and choice of a perch. Pose and bird look really good. I also like the nice long crop as presented.

Wow what a image Sidharth ,
I love it, the bg is superb and the bird is sharp and the perch is perfect
the berries in red and black add a lot of interest to the image, i may like it as it is , first i thought of the crop however on a bigger screen when i watched it i think i would keep this image as it is.

I have to say that I like the comp as is. Fine setup you made here, and the subject posed very nicely for you.

Hi Sid, love the light in this, together with the proud pose of the Thrush. I quite like the high placement of the thrush, thus the comp works for me. Perch has lots of character, and I like the surrounding foliage. Killer BG too.

    Your redesign worked out well.
