    Default Young Dancing Roseate Spoonbill.

Another from Florida from last year. This young fella looked a bit awkward when stretching but on this particular frame it just looked like it was happily dancing away!

For the Star Wars geeks out there (me included) the legs also remind me of the AT-ST in Return of the Jedi when it became wobbly-legged before falling after stepping onto an Ewok log trap in the forest battle

Canon 7D + 100-400L @400mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2500s., f/6.3, ISO 400, natural light, handheld, small crop for comp, a small twig jotting up from the perch cloned out. The shadowed side of the face, neck, and shoulder lightened a bit via dodge tool. A couple of dark spots in the BG filled-in with 40% clone stamp (soft brush).

Very cool Dan, unusual and funny pose indeed! Looks like he/she is doing aerobics :-)

Cool pose and nice work with the exposure. I agree with Phil about the vertical branch removal. Fun shot Daniel. TFS

Ha ha, I was hoping at least one person would get the Star wars reference! BTW I agree with the stick, but I'm still on the fence about it. Thanks guys!

    Nice well executed fun image.
I think the sticks should stay as I see them as a quirky "mirror" of the legs.
    Thanks for posting Obi-wan lol

Dancing seems to describe this spose very well. Beuty pose and nice colours, Daniel.
I miss my Florida trip very much this year. Maybe next year.

Daniel, lovely image, full of life, nice colors and BG. You even had both of his eyes looking at you. Great shot.

    Terrific shot.
I really like the pose, especially the lifted foot.
Great curved perch, nice background, and exposed very well.
    Well done.
