River Tern

River Tern at Ranganthittu, Mysore, India.
Though we intended to reach this place early, we reached a bit late and the sun had started blazing down.
But our journey paid off. The lake was full of storks, kingfishers, River terns..and..so on.
We took a boat and could get quite close to this one.
The only scary issue was that there are two crocs....and they are not known to be friendly.

Great image, Prabir - great pose (the tern looks pleased with himself and should I say it - almost grinning). Terrific color, exposure, and great OOF BG. A slight crop off the top would improve the composition - maybe a sliver off the rock at the bottom too. Otherwise, terrific!
