    Caught this guy/gal right next to it's nest this past weekend and was able to get a bunch of closeups. Image taken in South Louisiana.

    Hi Jude,
    I like the composition and capture on this one. The colors and feather detail on your subject is great; and the soft green background makes the subject stand out complimenting your subject. For my taste, I would have liked to have seen just a wee bit more of a head turn towards you...:D

    Very pretty image Jude. I agree about the head turn, but you pretty much nailed everything else!

    Love the colors and the fine details, the eye is gorgeous. I usually try to catch the bird straightening the feather when the bill is at the very tip just before it slips out. You should try it.

    Wish the head was a little more parallel.
