Hi All,
I am back and eager to post a few shots taken recently. This was taken at the Dubbare Wildlife Sanctuary/forest, Karnataka, India. Taken with the 7D and 70-200 f/4 IS.
Hi Sanjeev - great detail and sharpness. Nice that we can see the eye. Good dof and low pov. I would prefer a bit more room top and bottom but especially bottom.
Hi Sanjeev, great to see you posting in this part of the Forum, seems the photographic bug has really kicked in by the number of new images you are posting across the board, great.
I agree with Rachel, certainly more room at the foot and in an 'ideal world', you didn't have the slightly distracting parts in the BKG, would have certainly isolated the subject well. Although still away and viewing on the laptop, I think applying a Luminosity layer may help overall. Whether a 100% or a % of this I will leave to you, but I think it just helps the tone overall, WDYT?
TFS
Steve
Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
These guys have such quirky heads for those of us used to African Elephants...
Nice exposure in the darks, I agree it needs more room at the bottom. Perhaps dodge the eye somewhat to enhance it without it looking unnatural?
edit: Nice repost by Steve
