Mitch, I think this is gorgeous. Did you take this from Ft. DeSoto? The pano is perfect and I love the Flood effect. What lens were you using?

This is a great application of Flood. The ripples in the foreground help the composition -- with the bridge centered vertically -- work very well.

    Cheryl,

Yes, this was taken from Ft DeSoto last Sunday. It was really cold that morning! As a northerner, I really needed a few days of Florida sun. Oh well...
The lens was the older (often maligned) version of the Nikon 24-120mm @ 120mm. This was a three frame Pan. I tried to get to Ft DeSoto before dawn, but it was a bit farther than I thought, so the sun was already up...

    Thanks for your comments.

This looks great Mitch! I really like the use of flood here - not only does it look great but it helped with the issue of the water moving around during the three shots. Good thinking and beautiful image.

Very pretty image! Love the golden glow on the water and the pano shot.

Mitch, Well done the bridge and sun are perfect....a beautiful work, only thing that you might want to change are the shadows of the bridge, they should be angled to the right.

Good observation. I'll see what it looks like angled to the right.

    Thanks Paul.

Beautiful image! Excellent composition, with the center of the bridge in the rule of thirds position. Glorious, vibrant colors to set off the dark bridge. The water seems to shine. The sun and its reflection are also lovely. Great work!
