    This individual had a little more advanced colouration indication its molting into breeding plumage.
    I went back to the same spot, most of them have already left, heading North to their breeding territory.

    Nice look Karl.
    The Bow wave adds a lot as does the water in general.

    Hi Karl. The bird posed nicely and the water looks great! The water drops on the bird are a nice touch too. To my eye, the bill looks a little soft and the whites on the breast are lacking detail. I think a couple tweaks to those areas would put this one over the top. Well done!

    Good comp, and swimming angle on this guy. I usually prefer a lower angle but I like the texture of the water here from this vantage point. Ditto Steve...

    Nice shot with a good view of the cool tail. I like the water color and the colors on the duck. Maybe a few strokes of the burn tool on the breast but otherwise a nice pic. Well done
