It's a bit slow in the wildlife forum, so here's another one to pick up the momentum.
A fun moment from the Kalahari. These cubs were very playful and photogenic one morning in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (back in November 2011).

    Techs:
    Nikon D3s
    Nikkor 500mm f4 VR-II
    1.4x teleconverter
    f8.0 | 1/1000 SS | ISO-720
    EV +0.7

    Pretty much full frame.

    Hi Morkel,

very nice image, as usual. If I look at it, I might would like to have a bit more room to the left. Light and rest looks good to me

    Ciao

Hi Morkel - I like the inquisitive pose and the comp works for me, as does your usual detail and sharpness. I might reduce the yellows just a tad. I looked twice to see if this was taken with your Nikon or your Canon before the switch (I thought it was the Canon induced yellows).

    Rachel

Nice one Morkel, love the BKG which nicely separates the subject well. Like the DOF and sharpness on this one. Crop works as presented IMHO.

I like the composition, the look away and the log.

I tried Nik Detail Extrator and then sharpened it some more and really like the results but just on the cate and log - mask the BG.

Nice slinky looking pose and a nice "perch".
I might lighten the dark BG line a bit as I feel it draws my attention.

Great image Morkel, like the comp as is but agree with a little drop in the yellows, otherwise lovely detail and great bg.

Excellent pose and shot, Morkel! Your re-post with lower yellows works great!
