I like the tree and the way you composed the image. I think, though, that the wonderful texture of the tree could be emphasized with a different conversion to black & white.

Hi Richard, I like your concept and composition. Dennis has a good idea, not sure I would go quite as far with the lightening but its all subjective. I was thinking that a b&w HDR treatment might work well.

Richard, I like the repost a lot! The image now has taken on the look of a block print. Very nice! If you find yourself staying up way too late at night, you know you are hooked.

Very nice subject and composition, Richard. I actually prefer the original image because it emphasizes the shapes and negative spaces created by the branches more.
