So, a few posts back, Artie mentioned I should have shifted my position to use a branch which was a distraction as framing for the main subject. Well, I was out on Edisto Island Beach last Thanksgiving chasing very cold Goldfinches through thickets of thistle. On this one, I moved to my right to try to frame this beauty and got close to narrow DOF and reduce branches in image.. Unfortunately, one of the branches used to frame the main subject is OOF and partially cuts through (although it only runs through the OOF portion ) the bird. Does this work or is it still too busy and distracting. That OOF and colorful BG consists of more thistle, cattails, marsh grass and water in a tidal pool.
