Default Snowy Egret and Its Crest

    Hello everyone,
For your comments, suggestions and feedback, I present a "real" snowy egret. My first post showed that I still need to work on my animal identification :)

    The shot details:
    Canon 7D - ISO 400 - f/8 - 1/1600 sec - 100-400 L lens - Flash used.

Thank you in advanced for your comments and suggestions!

    Andres Leon

I forgot to mention that a bit of sharpening was done after resizing for the web. Thanks.

You did a pretty good job with the light from the left rear. The face could go a bit lighter and cleaning up the bill and the dirty neck would improve it.

I wish for more room on the top so the head feathers are not cut off.
I like the tight comp and would clean up the dirty neck feathers,
    Gail

Great character and the light and detail is excellent , I think it's tad tight in the frame and mostly needs room on the top

I agree with lightening the face and cleaning up the bill (and neck). Instead of having the crest clipped at top I would crop even more from above for a deeper cut to the hairdo. Good details, neat BG.
