Shot this guy at Brazos Bend State Park south of Houston. He and his woman were just swimming along and suddenly decided to take off. I'd already determined an appropriate exposure for him, but I was lucky to get a couple frames in focus. C&C always appreciated.

This is very nice, sharp where it counts, nice wing position and a duck we don't see many photo's of.
It looks like as much crop as IQ would allow, a bit bigger in the frame would be nice.

Lovely bird and its nicely done , a higher aperture may have helped but i guess it would have compromised the shutterspeed
i like the colours, nice design on the bird
i may take off some from left and put it on the right

Stunning shot, perfectly composed. These little guys move very quickly! Interesting to note that he's already began to put on his courtship dress. Perfect flight position showing the field marks of blue and teal.

This is really a lovely capture. The pose, colors and angle is awesome and the BG just sets this one apart. I think the crop works quite nicely.

Hi Lyle, good wing position, and I like the varoius colours on him. Pops nicely from the lighter BG.

Nice capture, Lyle. Not a bird we've seen often as BIF. Crop works fine for me, like the wing position, and good bg. Were you using 3D here?

Thanks for the comments. This is actually not cropped, extended some canvas--probably could use a little bit less.

This was with 3D, I'd been trying for shots like this against colored backgrounds with no success until I tried 3D. Appreciate your help!

Nice wings down pose of this blue wing. Exposure and details look good. A little tighter in the frame if IQ allows. Well done
