    Default Great Kiskadee

Had a weekend trip to south Texas a few weeks ago.
My first serious attempt at a setup, and my conclusion was:
    1) setups are *not* easy
    2) Alan Murphy is an absolute genius
    3) If I hadn't bought and read Alan's ebooks, I had no chance. I learned so much by reading them and trying his different techniques in the field.

    1/1000, f 9.0, iso 800
Hide, tripod, perch imported from Austin

It is a real beuty, Sidharth. Nice pose, especially with the berry in the beak, excellent details and nice perch.

Beautiful image super detail, exposure and pose, the berries look good so often they can be too red!

I LOL when I read your thread, Sid. Many are under the impression that set ups are easy but the opposite is true. You are so right. I think you did a terrific job with this one. Love the light, the perch, the berry in the beak and the tongue. It all came together very nicely for you. I imagine this will not be your last trip to S. Texas.

The bird and perch is very sharp and the exposure is great. I like all of this.

Wow those berries contrast wonderfully with the bird and backdrop, liking aldso the drooping direction of perch also...ticking all the right boxes and the in mouth berry takes it over the top.....excellent photography !

This looks so much like an Alan Murhphy image, that prior to opening the image, I assumed it was
going to be a workshop frame....which is a compliment to you btw. Beautiful image in all regards.
