This one may not be for everyone, but to me it has an urban/wild funk/grunge something-or-other. This is a pedestrian (and water) tunnel under a highway at a local natural area. It is actually the site where gold was first discovered in California in 1849, in Los Angeles County! I used two really wild textures I found online. Erased one of them (the one with the curvy lines running through it) from the far end of the tunnel and the walkway there. Used a grunge filter in Topaz Adjust.

Very, very cool and "California-ish" I especially like the sun and wild and crazy colors.

Kerry, at very first glance, my first impression was that this was an image that would not interest me. But, I found that my eyes continued to explore the image, searching out the details, and fascinated by the interplay of colors and shapes. I like the depth provided by the tunnel, as well as the green plants on the left versus the "sunburst" graffiti on the right.

I woke up this morning thinking about the textures challenge and thought, " I wonder if I have a photo I could try a grunge textures on...." and here you have done it. I like the effect. That curve textures leaves almost a water stained look, which is appropriate for the look....

Hi Kerry - very wild! For me, I think I would prefer it without the fence and brighter area above the tunnel.

    Rachel
