    Photographed 2 weeks ago during my first visit to Barnegat Light ... about 2 hours after sunrise on a crystal clear day.
    Manual exposure at Sunny f/16 equivalent.

    She is so sweet.
    Lovely texture in the water and blue color.
    Nice and low with a nice bow wave.

    Mike,

    Wonderful exposure on this bird. Kept the details nicely! I agree with Gail and think the blue plays nicely with the neutral BW on the duck.

    I'm a bit partial to a wider aspect ratio for ducks in water, but that's just a preference.

    The dark blue water does contrast nicely with the whites and blacks on the duck. Well done on pose and low shooting angle.

    This duck looks great against that blue water. Super exposure, low angle and love the little wave.
