    Shot taken yesterday,still trying flight shots,its a all new ball game,comments good or bad thanks,cannon 500mm L IS F4,FL 700MM,TRIPOD,7D,F9,ISO 200,1/800S,Forgot to alter Fstop for faster shutter speed,cropped,sharpened.

    Nice image Chris. I like the flight angle and clean BG. I don't know how much of a crop this is but if you have room I would move the owl up and to the left. I would also sharpen the Owl some more. This is roughly what I had in mind but with more time and the original file you could do more.

    the BG and pose is great, you can add more room in the bottom. The owl is a bit soft.

    This has the markings of being a great image...just needs to be sharper and better composed (as per Jim's repost). Don't be afraid to keep the ISO higher, even for static images...cameras these days can handle it and you are always ready for action this way...

    Thankyou for your comments,I know the crop is not the norm,but I was trying something different,as for sharpnessI have a larger version,and was sharp,but I do not know what has gone wrong but as gone soft after up load,thanks again for comments.

    Interesting that larger version is sharper. When I first looked at the image, I thought the owl is slightly behind the focal plane...hence the softness.

    I agree with Jim's compo. suggestion. If sharp, then, this is an awesome shot. loved the BG...terrific.
