Whenever birding in the tropical Andes region the mountain tanagers are always a highlight. This may not be my favourite of the bunch. But he is a beauty nonetheless.

Wonderful image Glenn and so colourful. I'm seeing a white ring between the iris and pupil. Is that a feature of this beautiful bird or a catch light? Love the perch and the soft background.
Lovely image, the bird is wonderful so is the bg , the perch is something i would dream of carrying everywhere
the tanagers are simply the best colored variety
